Outdoor Shooting Range
Ares Training Facility is located in Leesburg Florida.
The 100 acre outdoor facility is beautiful. Soak up nature as you gaze upon the mature oaks decorated with Spanish Moss. Spot a Red Tailed Hawk flying across the sky as you aim down range. Inhale the fresh air as you control your breathing before taking a shot. Enjoy the experience of shooting in tranquil surroundings.
The Main Shooting Range has 26 spacious stalls covered for your shooting pleasure, including one handicapped accessible stall. There is a wide berm at 100 yards to allow for pistol, shotgun, rifle, and even black powder shooting. Steel targets are set up at the berm. Wooden target stands are available to hold paper targets, and can be set up at any distance. The Main Range also has narrower berms at 200, 300, and 400 yards with steel targets for long distance shooting. The firing line has poured concrete slab to allow for a stable shooting area.
Members enjoy having the ability to reserve time in our pocket berms, which are a 25 yard deep mini range.
Qualified Members can also shoot out to 860 yards
on our Long Distance Range.
Training and Classes for Everyone
We have Local Instructors that use Ares Training Facility as their primary range for training and instructing. Most of them offer Concealed Carry Permit Classes as well as a variety of other topics and skills. They can be with you every step of the journey from deciding which gun to buy, how to safely handle and shoot it, to cleaning and maintaining your gun to more advanced skills like drawing from concealment and moving and shooting.
We also have visiting instructors from other states and even other countries that come visit us to host classes. These classes cover a variety of topics from beginner to advanced using a variety of guns, including pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Each one of them can add a special set of skills to expand on what you have already learned.
Never stop training! Like everything, new skills are developed and old ones become outdated. The best Instructors constantly take new classes too.
